2D Character Animator

About collaboration

We are on the lookout for a talented and creative 2D Character Animator with proficiency in Unity and/or Spine to join our team. If you have a passion for bringing characters to life with fluid and dynamic animations, we want to hear from you. We are developing a new character system for our games from the ground up, and we need your expertise to make it exceptional. You will collaborate with our art team to design the best character rig, complete with changeable clothing, accessories, and a wide range of facial expressions, dance moves, and other creative animations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and implement high-quality 2D character animations for our games.
  • Collaborate with the art and development teams to integrate animations seamlessly into Unity.
  • Utilize Spine 2D/Unity software to rig and animate characters and assets.
  • Ensure animations meet the technical and aesthetic standards of the project.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for character movement and behavior.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve animation-related issues within the game engine.
  • Maintain documentation of animation processes and workflows.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a 2D animator, specifically with Unity and/or Spine.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of 2D character animations.
  • Proficiency in using animation software such as Spine and Unity tools.
  • Understanding of traditional animation principles and their application to 2D animation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with game development pipelines and processes.
  • Knowledge of scripting/programming for animation purposes.
  • Passion for video games and an understanding of current industry trends.
